Richmond Selected for Academic All-Northeast-10 Men’s Basketball Team

WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley University's Ryan Richmond (Toronto, Ont./Thomson Collegiate) was recently selected for the 2018 Academic All-Northeast-10 men's basketball team in recognition of his success on the court and in the classroom.

The rising senior and finance major led the Falcons in scoring for the second straight season with his 23.6 per-game average a Bentley record. Richmond, a guard who also averaged 4.1 rebounds and 3.5 assists, was third in the NE10 in scoring as well as ninth in Division II.

Richmond, who'll enter next season 20th on Bentley's all-time scoring list with 1,414 points, is one of only three players in program history with multiple 600-point seasons after joining Jason Westrol and Bill Holden in that select group.

Prior to being voted Academic All-Northeast-10, Richmond had amassed a number of other honors for his play during the 2017-18 season, including NABC Division II All-East Region, first-team All-Northeast-10 and first-team CoSIDA Academic All-District 1.

Richmond was joined on the Academic All-Northeast-10 team by Michael Coffey (Adelphi), Russell Sangster (Le Moyne), Peyton Wejnert (Pace), Levi Holmes III (St. Michael's), Jack Jones (Saint Rose), Julian Lipinski (Saint Rose) and Matt Cerutti (Saint Rose).
