WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley University's Tyler McFarland (Rockport, Maine/Camden Hills HS) and Keegan Hyland (South Portland, Maine/South Portland HS), two of the top five scorers in the conference, have been selected for the All-Northeast-10 Conference men's basketball team.

McFarland, a junior forward, received second-team recognition for the second straight season and Hyland, a senior guard with one more year of eligibility remaining, was voted to the third team.

McFarland led the Falcons in scoring and rebounding for the third straight year, a feat unprecedented in program history. The six-foot-five three-year starter averaged 19.1 points, 7.2 rebounds and 2.0 blocks while shooting .516 overall, .451 from three and .856 at the line.

To put those latter numbers into perspective, over the last four years, a Northeast-10 player has shot at least 50 percent overall, 45 percent from deep and 82 percent at the line only twice, McFarland last year and again this season.

McFarland, whose 36.2 minutes per game this season ranked second in program history, will enter his senior year ranking 18th on Bentley's all-time scoring list with 1,440 points. He owns the career records for three-point accuracy (.469) and minutes per game (34.2), is second all-time in free throw percentage (.858) and is third in blocks (109). McFarland's career scoring average of 17.6 has been exceeded by only four Falcons in the program's 52-year history.

Hyland, who was also named to the Capital One Academic All-America first team on Wednesday, finished the season with averages of 19.0 points, 6.9 rebounds and 3.6 assists.  That's a combination of numbers that no NE-10 player has achieved in at least a decade.

Hyland's season included four double-doubles, including a 19-point, 14-rebound effort in Tuesday's season-ending one-point loss to Franklin Pierce.

Bentley finished the season at 15-12 overall.
