WALTHAM, Mass. – Sophomore forward Libby Harrison (North Andover/North Andover HS) scored the first of four Falcon goals in the opening 20 minutes and Bentley University went on to record a 4-0 victory over American International College in non-conference field hockey Thursday night on the Bentley Field Hockey Field.
With the win in the home opener, Division II's eighth-ranked team improved to 1-2. AIC dropped to 0-2 on the season.
Harrison's second goal of the season, with 6:30 left in the opening stanza, saw her backhand the ball into the cage following a save by the AIC keeper.
Senior Caroline Szatkowski (Reeders, Pa./Pocono Mountain East HS) made it 2-0 with 2:23 remaining in the first and freshman Gracie Moore (Pittsfield, Maine/Maine Central Institute) followed with her first collegiate goal coming in the waning seconds of the quarter.
Junior Katie Thies (Liverpool, N.Y./Cicero North Syracuse HS) completed the game's scoring a little more than four minutes into the second.
