Anderson & Crowley Voted to All-Northeast-10 First Team; Simione Also Recognized

WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley University seniors Tess Anderson (Stow/Nashoba Reg. HS) and Rachel Crowley (Leicester/Notre Dame Academy) were named to the All-Northeast-10 Conference Field Hockey first team, which was announced by the conference on Wednesday.

Also honored by the conference, with selection to the third team, was junior Sam Simione (Cheshire, Conn./Cheshire HS).

Two of the five NE10 players with at least 30 points, Anderson and Crowley were recently selected to play in the Victory Sports Tours/National Field Hockey Coaches Association Division II Senior All-Star Game, which will be held in Millersville, Pa. on Saturday, Nov. 23 at 5 pm.

Crowley was also named to the SynapseSports Division II honor roll after scoring three times in a pair of Bentley wins last week.

Anderson, also a first-team selection in 2018, and Crowley finished the season tied for the Bentley team lead in scoring with 30 points apiece. Crowley had 14 goals, tied for second most in the NE10, and two assists while Anderson's final numbers were 11 and eight, with her assist total tied for fourth in the conference.

Anderson concluded her career with 33 goals and 14 assists for 80 points in 69 games. Crowley, in 73 contests, had 25 goals and a dozen assists.

Simione was third on the team in scoring with five goals and four assists for 14 points. She started every game for the second straight season and will be one of three returning starters for the 2020 Falcons.

Bentley finished its season at 9-10 after a double-overtime loss to Southern New Hampshire in the NE10 quarterfinals.
