WALTHAM, Mass. – For the second straight year, Bentley University junior defender Frankie Tossona (Lansdale, Pa./North Penn HS) has been selected for the 2017 Academic All-Northeast-10 Conference field hockey team.

Tossona appeared in every game for the Falcons last fall, starting 16 of the team's 17 games. She was credited with two defensive saves and scored her first career goal on a penalty stroke against St. Michael's on Oct. 18. Ironically, that was the one game she didn't start.

Over the last two seasons, Tossona started 30 games for the Falcons and made a total of three defensive saves.

In the classroom, Tossona has achieved a sparkling 3.92 grade point average as a finance major.
