Neidhart, Naclerio Help Bentley to 3rd Straight and Spencer to 100th Falcon Win

WALTHAM, Mass. – Junior midfielder Niki Neidhart (San Diego, Calif./Scripps Ranch HS) scored the game's only goal in the second minute and freshman Tatiana Naclerio (Easton, Conn./Joel Barlow HS) posted a shutout in her first career start as Bentley University stretched its win streak to three with a 1-0 victory over Southern New Hampshire University in Northeast-10 Conference field hockey action at Bentley Wednesday evening.

The victory evened the Falcons' conference record at 3-3 and was the 100th Bentley triumph for tenth-year head coach Jessica Spencer at her alma mater.

After her own shot was blocked, Neidhart came up with the loose ball and sent it into the cage just 101 seconds into the contest. The game's only goal was her fourth of the season and first game-winner.

Naclerio was credited with four saves while facing eight shots and nine penalty corners, including seven in the second half. Bentley had the edge in both categories, finishing with 12 shots and 11 corners.

For Southern New Hampshire (5-5, 2-4 NE10), junior Melanie Rennie (Madison, Conn.) made six saves.

Bentley, 3-7 overall, is on the road for its next three games, beginning with nationally-ranked Pace Saturday at 2 pm.
