WALTHAM, Mass. – Seniors Kelsey Howard (Scarborough, Maine/Scarborough HD), Becca Moore (Belmont/Belmont HS) and Molly Rowe (Newburyport/Newburyport HS) will serve as captains of the 2015 Bentley University field hockey team, head coach Jessica Spencer announced. For Howard and Moore, this will be their second year in the leadership role.

All three have been fixtures in the lineup for the Falcons in recent years. Each started every game last fall, Rowe and Moore were in the starting lineup for all 19 contests each of the last two seasons, and both Howard and Moore have never missed a game as collegians.

Moore, a midfielder, was second on the team in scoring in 2014 as she amassed five goals and six assists. "Becca adds a lot of positive energy on the field and has the ability to make big offensive plays," said Spencer.

About Howard, Spencer commented "Kelsey is a natural leader who can play just about any position." Listed as a midfielder on the roster, the two-sport athlete had three goals and one goal as a junior.

Rowe is a leader on defense for the Falcons.  According to Spencer, "Molly is a very consistent player who helps instill confidence in her teammates with her steady play."

Bentley, 10-9 a year ago, will open the 2015 campaign at home on Sept. 4 with a non-conference encounter with Assumption College.
