Andrew Brazicki, Jack Hansbury and Nick Athy were selected for Academic All-Northeast-10 honors

Bentley Places 3 on 2018 Academic All-Northeast-10 Football Team

WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley University placed three student-athletes on the 2018 Academic All-Northeast-10 Conference football team, including three-time honoree and Google Cloud first-team Academic All-America Jack Hansbury (Tyngsboro/Chelmsford HS).

Hansbury was joined by senior defensive back Nick Athy (Holliston/Holliston HS), who was honored for the second straight year, and sophomore running back Andrew Brazicki (Franklin Lake, N.J./Bishop Ahr HS). Hansbury and Athy were Bentley's team captains this past fall.

Hansbury, a corporate finance and accounting major with a 3.94 grade point average, started every game for the third straight year and appeared in all 42 games that the Falcons played since his arrival on campus. This past year, the senior offensive lineman helped Bentley average 323 yards and 21.7 points. Hansbury has made the President's List following each of his first seven semesters.

Athy, a two-time first-team All-Northeast-10 selection, has achieved a 3.62 GPA as a finance major. He had 46 tackles, a forced fumble and an interception during his senior year and finished his career with 167 tackles, six interceptions, four fumble recoveries and three forced fumbles.

Brazicki, who has achieved a 3.62 GPA during his first three semesters while majoring in economics-finance, led Bentley in rushing with 537 yards and four TDs. He also had 17 receptions for 332 yards and one TD, and finished the season with 30 points. He had two 100-yard games and has surpassed 1,000 yards for his career.

Bentley's three honorees was tied with LIU Post for the most in the conference.

Bentley also placed 47 on the recently-announced Northeast-10 Academic Honor Roll. Seventeen received Academic Distinction recognition for having a GPA between 3.50 and 3.99 during the fall semester and the other 30 received Academic Honors for a GPA between 3.00 and 3.49.
