Placekicker Michael Baron had only worn full pads one time before arriving at Bentley University and is now kicking his way into the school's record book. Baron enters his senior season second in career field goals with 20 and has converted 97 percent of his PAT attempts. His 74 extra points is 23 behind the school mark of 97 set by Enzo Tirino (2002-2005). He has scored 134 points, third most by a kicker in program history, 83 behind record holder Tyler McNamara.
Baron was recently named to the Fred Mitchell Award watch list for the second straight year. The Mitchell Award is bestowed upon the nation's top collegiate place-kicker from more than 750 NCAA FCS, NCAA Division II and III, NAIA, and NJCAA football teams.
A standout soccer player at Roxbury Latin, Baron started playing soccer at age four and excelled all through high school. One of two freshmen to make the varsity roster, Baron cracked the starting line up as a sophomore.
