Troiani Receives D2CCA All-Region Honors

WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley University junior center fielder Max Troiani (Pittsford, N.Y./ Pittsford Mendon HS) has been named to the 2019 Division II Conference Commissioners Association Division II All-East Region baseball second team by the region's sports information directors.

Troiani had a standout season for the Falcons with his list of honors to date including first-team All-Northeast-10 Conference, first-team Google Cloud Academic All District 1 and the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) Division II National Hitter of the Week.

Troiani hit .320 and slugged .320 while helping the Falcons to a 21-21 record, including 21-11 since March 11. He ranks second in the conference in runs scored (50) and home runs (9), third in total bases (99), fourth in slugging and eight in stolen bases.

Troiani, who led off a game with a home run three times, displayed great range in center for coach Bob DeFelice's Falcons. He tracked down 119 fly balls, most of any of the ten first-team All-Conference outfielders in the region. He also threw out seven baserunners from the outfield.

Troiani, over the last two seasons, has hit .334 with 110 hits, 82 runs scored, 49 RBI and 34 stolen bases.
