WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley University junior center fielder Max Troiani (Pittsford, N.Y./Pittsford Mendon HS) has been named the NCBWA Division II East Region Hitter of the Week by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association for his outstanding play during the week ending April 21.

Troiani, previously cited as the Northeast-10 Player of the Week for the second time this season, homered five times and had an eye-popping 1.769 slugging percentage during three Falcon wins, including two over No. 4 Southern New Hampshire.

Troiani was 7-for-13 in the three games with eight RBI, five runs scored and 23 total bases. Three of his home runs came in a 4-3 win over Southern New Hampshire Friday, including the game-winner in the eighth.

This week's schedule for Bentley has the Falcons playing at Southern New Hampshire third afternoon, hosting Merrimack on Wednesday and returning to New Hampshire for a three-game series at Saint Anselm over the weekend. The Falcons have won five straight and are 8-4 so far this month.
