Austin Farry never got off the bench last season as a freshman on the Bentley University baseball team.

Since last March 5, however, when he pounded out four hits and drove in three runs in a 7-3 win over Concordia (N.Y.) in Florida, the sophomore has been a fixture in the Falcons' lineup.

Going into a three-game set last Wednesday and Thursday at Merrimack, Farry was batting .278, and had posted a 12-game hitting streak that ended last weekend. A finance major, thte 19-year-old Farry was leading the team with 30 hits and was second with 17 RBIs.

"He's a great story,'' said Bentley veteran head coach Bob DeFelice. "Austin worked hard every day last season which was something we noticed and then he took advantage of his opportunity this year.'
