Muir Selected 1st-Team All-Northeast-10

WALTHAM, Mass. – After batting .365 in conference play, Bentley University graduate student and center fielder Mike Muir (Bridgewater/Xaverian Bros. HS) has been voted to the All-Northeast-10 baseball first team.

Muir, Bentley's number three hitter in all 40 games this season, led the Falcons in RBI with his 32 the most by a Falcon since 2012. He drove in at least one in eight of his final 11 games, totaling 18 during that span, and averaged one RBI a game in 25 Northeast-10 contests.

Muir, a .321 hitter overall, also topped the Falcons in slugging (.472), total bases (75), hits (51), extra base hits (15), triples (5), home runs (2) and sacrifice flies (4) with the 2014 Rawlings Gold Glove recipient errorless in the field for the second time in three seasons. His 99 total chances was the third most by any NE-10 player with a 1.000 fielding percentage.

Only the 14th player in Bentley history to amass both 175 hits and 100 runs scored during his career, Muir started 156 games during his four seasons and batted .279.

Bentley finished the season at 15-25, including 14-18 against East Region opposition.
