Grover Named NE-10 Rookie of the Week

WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley University freshman right fielder Brandon Grover (Rocky Hill, Conn./Rocky Hill HS) has been named the Baseball Rookie of the Week in the Northeast-10 Conference following his outstanding performance this past weekend in Florida.

During a 3-0 weekend against Saint Anselm, Grover hit .417 with a .500 on base percentage and a .917 slugging percentage. He homered twice, including a three-run shot, in Sunday's 12-0 victory, and had two RBI in Saturday's 3-1 game 1 victory. He also tracked down 12 balls in right without an error.

For the season, Grover is hitting .307 with two homers, seven RBI and 21 putouts without an error. He's started all nine games for the 4-5 Falcons.

Also recognized, with an appearance on the NE-10 Weekly Honor Roll, was right-handed pitcher Bill Sullivan (Carver/Carver HS). In a 3-1 win over Saint Anselm on Saturday, Sullivan pitched seven shutout innings. He struck out seven, including the side in the second, and scattered five hits.

Bentley will return to action Mar. 12-19 with seven games in the Tampa area.
