WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley University placed four players on the 2012 All-Northeast-10 Conference baseball team, with two of the honorees, pitcher Rob Finneran (Garden City, N.Y./ Garden City HS) and designated hitter Greg Baggett (East Bridgewater/East Bridgewater HS) voted to the first team by the conference's head coaches.

Sophomore left fielder Sean Keady (Norwood/Norwood HS) and senior catcher Kevin Korwek (Madison, Conn./Daniel Hand HS) also earned All-Conference recognition with both selected for the third team.

For Finneran, this is his third appearance on the All-Northeast-10 team. He was selected for the second team in 2009 and the third team in 2010 before missing last season following Tommy John surgery.

The right-handed graduate student has come back strong this season, compiling an 8-3 record with a 2.26 ERA and 78 strikeouts in 79.2 innings. The eight wins is tied for the most in the program's history, and tied for the NE-10 lead. He has given up zero or one run in seven of his 12 starts and has been part of three shutouts (two-hitter against Adelphi and two combined).

Finneran, despite pitching only three seasons for the Falcons, is number one on Bentley's all-time lists in strikeouts (229), ERA (2.81) and winning percentage (.724).

Baggett, a senior, finished the regular season a point shy of .300 while leading the Falcons in the power categories. He slugged .580, including .745 in conference games, and his 23 extra base hits included eight homers and five triples.

Baggett's career totals include a .273 average with 16 homers and 60 RBI.

Keady raised his average to .318 after hitting a blistering .442 over the regular season's final 12 games.   The Falcon leadoff hitter has scored a team-best 40 runs and his 24 stolen bases ranks second in the conference.

Keady entered the 2012 NE-10 playoffs with a career average of .300, 79 runs scored and 58 stolen bases in 86 games.

Korwek owns a .309 average with 12 doubles, one homer and 31 RBI. The Falcons' cleanup hitter is second on the club in doubles (12) and is the toughest in the NE-10 to strike out, averaging just one every 17.4 at bats.  In conference play, he elevated his averaging average to .339 and fanned only four times in 115 at bats.

A three-year starter, Korwek has a .276 career average with 132 hits and 59 RBI.
