If you are interested in receiving information about one of the varsity sports at Bentley University, please understand the following basic NCAA guidelines:

HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS

In NCAA Division II sports, telephone calls, contacts, official visits and tryouts cannot be made prior to June 15 before the junior year of high school. That is also the date when institutions may begin to provide recruiting materials to a prospective student athlete.

In NCAA Division I ice hockey, telephone calls may be made on or after September 1 of the prospect’s sophomore year in high school. That is also the date when institutions may begin providing recruiting materials to a prospect.  Only NCAA educational materials, camp brochures and questionnaires may be sent to a prospect prior to those dates.   Official visits may not be taken until the opening day of classes of the PSA’s senior year. Off campus contact cannot be made prior to June 15 before the junior year in high school.

If you are a high school junior or senior, don’t forget to register with the NCAA Eligibility Center. You must be certified by the NCAA Eligibility Center in order to participate in athletics as a freshman at the NCAA Division I or II level. See your guidance counselor for more information, or call the NCAA Eligibility Hotline at 877-262-1492.

FOUR-YEAR/TWO-YEAR COLLEGE TRANSFERS & INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

If you are a transfer from a four-year/two-year college or an international student, Bentley must have written permission from your current or previous institution in order to contact you about your transfer options.
