Marty McCarthy, a 2003 graduate of Bentley University, is in his 22nd year on the Bentley athletic department staff and his eighth as an Assistant Director of Athletics. He was promoted to Associate Athletic Director in August 2022.

McCarthy's duties include handling all scheduling for the athletic department, overseeing the work study program, serving as a liason with the Northeast-10, representing Bentley on the NE10's Committee on Sports Administration and serving as the game day administrator for Bentley's Division I hockey program. He participated on the NCAA Regional Advisory Committee for baseball from 2013-15 and is now serving a three-year term on the men's basketball RAC.

McCarthy began working at Bentley as a building supervisor in 2000. He was promoted to Assistant Director of Athletic Facilities in 2005 and assumed his current position in 2014.

McCarthy resides in Framingham with his wife Vanessa, a former Bentley women's basketball player, and their three sons, Colton (10), Liam (8) and Jaxon (3)
