Bio

Kevin Loftus is Bentley University’s Associate Athletics Director, External Operations and has been a part of the Bentley community since 1994.

In his role as the Associate Athletics Director, he oversees athletic marketing and athletic communications. He serves as the sport administrator for baseball, men’s basketball, men’s and women’s track and cross country and field hockey. He also administers the department’s ticketing operations for hockey, football and basketball.

Loftus has served on a number of senior leadership committees. Among those is the Athletic Safety Committee which works with the Bentley University police department, and the Bentley Arena Sponsorship Committee which works to generate external revenue for the Arena with corporate sponsorships and alumni partnerships.

From 2014-18 Loftus oversaw both the athletic department’s operating budget and how financial aid was administered to student-athletes. During this time he also worked with the admissions department on recruiting initiatives.

He has also been heavily involved in scheduling during his time at Bentley, both with the scheduling of games and use of the athletic facilities.

In addition to roles as the Associate Athletic Director, he has been an assistant baseball coach at Bentley since 1994.

Loftus was Network Technician/Network Analyst at Bentley from 1996-2000.

Loftus was a third team Division II All-America and the New England Collegiate Conference Player of the Year in 1993 while playing at UMass-Lowell. He hit .366 during his two years at UML, helping the Chiefs to a pair of ECAC Division II tournaments and a composite 47-28-1 record. Following his college career, Loftus signed a one-year contract with the Nashua Hawks of the Independent League in 1995. 

In Nov. 2013, Loftus was inducted into the Intercity League Hall of Fame.

The recipient of a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from UMass-Lowell in 1993, Loftus received his MBA from Bentley with a concentration in Management in 2009.  He lives in Waltham with his wife Carol Ann, and their sons Dylan and T.J.
