5 Bentley Teams Recognized by Northeast-10 for Academic Excellence

WALTHAM, Mass. – Five Bentley University teams have received 2018-19 Team Academic Excellence Awards from the Northeast-10 Conference, an award presented to the program in each of the conference's varsity sports that achieved the highest grade point average during the year.

Three of the five were coached by Kevin Curtin as the men's cross country, men's indoor track and field and men's outdoor track and field were all at the top of the list.

Also recognized were the men's lacrosse and women's soccer teams.

Both the men's indoor and outdoor track teams have captured the honor every year since the award was created in 2010. Men's lacrosse earned its seventh team academic excellence award in the last ten years, men's cross country received its sixth, and women's soccer gained its first.

Coach Lauren Lukis' women's soccer team achieved a 3.581 GPA during the 2018-19 academic year, men's cross country had a 3.395, both track teams posted a 3.314 and men's lacrosse recorded a 3.226.

Bentley's five team academic excellence awards was a conference-high total.
